Minehead's hockey team faced a tough start to their league campaign.
They hosted Isca 3 in their first match of the season in Sedgemoor Division 1, following their promotion last year.
Despite early pressure resulting in a short corner within the first five minutes, Minehead couldn't convert.
Both teams had their chances in a balanced first half, but Isca managed to sneak a goal just before half-time.
A quick second goal from Isca at the start of the second half ramped up the pressure on Minehead.
However, the hosts responded well with a goal from centre forward Sparks.
As both teams adjusted to match fitness, gaps began to appear.
Isca capitalised on two short corners, using well-rehearsed routines to secure a 4-1 victory.
Charlotte and Harriet, from The Dessert Club, shared the player of the match award for their strong defensive displays.
