After back-to-back wins, Wellington were brought back down to earth by Brixham.
The match, which took place at the Playing Field last Wednesday night, saw Wellington suffer a disappointing 4-0 defeat.
The team, managed by Richard Cherry, was missing several players due to injury, including talented defender Harry Scott, who has moved to premier rivals Barnstaple Town.
The line-up saw the return of Harry Walford and a debut for striker Jake Mawford, who was signed from Street.
Despite being involved in early action, Mawford was booked for diving rather than earning a penalty.
Brixham capitalised on a counter-attack to take the lead, with a goal credited to James Moxon.
Wellington's Jake Quick almost equalised after 26 minutes, but his shot went straight to the goalkeeper.
Brixham doubled their lead on the half-hour mark, thanks to a clinical finish by Charlie Johansen.
Two more goals, one from Jaden Maslen and another from Moxon, sealed the victory for the visitors.
This win was a revenge victory for Brixham, who lost to Wellington 2-1 back in August.
Wellington will try to bounce back in another home game against Paulton Rovers on Saturday.
