Its back to league action for the Peacocks this weekend as they travel to Hampshire to face Basingstoke Town in the Southern League Premier South.
The Peacocks have been playing cup matches for three weeks with their last league game being a 3-1 victory over Swindon Supermarine at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium on September 28.
While Taunton Town have been on their cup journey, some Southern League Premier South sides have been able to play league games meaning the Peacocks have dropped down to 13th in the league but they have two games in hand on several teams above them and are only six points from the pay off places.
One of the team in the play off places right now is Basingstoke Town who are in fourth place and are currently yet to experience a defeat in the league.
However, Taunton Town did manage to beat Basingstoke Town when they met in the Isuzu FA Trophy earlier this season, with the Peacocks earning a 1-0 win.
