Martin Short with 40 points was the winner in the top division of Sunday’s Stableford at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club, three ahead of second placed Spencer Turnbull with 37.

Mike Bird was third with 36 points two ahead of fourth placed Curtis Edwards who carded 34.

Andrew Staines headed the second flight in Sunday’s competition with 37 points, one in front of Colin Sully who claimed second place with 36. Two players came back in with 34 points, but following count back it was Geoff Dight who edged in front to claim third place with Steve Coomber fourth.

Ken Reid was the winner of the Philip Cook Winter League 2 with 40 points, one ahead of second placed Kevin Parker who scored 39. Mike Crump claimed third place with 37 points while Andy Rhodes was fourth on count back with 36.

Former Lady Captains Bernie Hatcher and Georgia Richards recently collected the Inter Club League on behalf of the Taunton & Pickeridge ( ICL) team. T&P ladies team topped the ICL Division One table for the second year running.
