Minehead left it very late to secure their first league double of the season when they hosted Saltford.
The Blues, having won at Saltford three weeks ago, faced a challenging match at home on Saturday.
Early stages of the game saw The Blues in control, with Sam Jackson heading a goal kick from Kyran Wilkins, which Toby Waghorn converted, getting past Saltford's keeper Sam Murphy.
Saltford, however, responded with a series of strong attacks, putting pressure on Minehead's defence.
Minehead's midfielder, Sam Heath, had a chance to extend the lead but his shot was deflected off Murphy's body and cleared.
Waghorn also narrowly missed an opportunity before the break, with his header going wide.
The second half saw Saltford gaining more possession, testing Minehead's defence.
Despite maintaining a slight advantage in play, the home side seemed to be clinging to their solitary goal lead.
Minehead's manager, Craig Carr, made all three substitutions, trying to reinforce the team's structure.
The game was finally secured in the 90th minute when Josh Elston was upended inside the box.
Captain Stefan Phillips calmly converted the penalty, sealing a 2-0 victory for The Blues.
This win elevates Minehead to fourth place in the league table.
The standout performer was man of the match, Stefan Phillips, for his leading role in the game, notably securing the winning penalty.
They have enough games in hand over the top three clubs to potentially claim the top spot if they manage to secure victories in those matches.
Minehead will next face Nailsea & Tickenham Reserves at The Rec on Saturday, October 21, with the match scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
