Wellington secured a seventh consecutive win with a narrow victory over Welton Rovers.
The Tangerines continued their impressive run in the Jewson Western League Premier Division with a late goal from substitute Sam Pashen, which proved decisive.
Despite Welton Rovers' position at the bottom of the table, Wellington faced a tough challenge throughout the match.
The Rovers, who are still without a point, recently appointed a new management team and signed 11 new players, making them more formidable than their league standing suggested.
The first half was an end-to-end affair, with both teams creating opportunities.
Welton had the better chances, including hitting the post after 20 minutes.
Wellington's midfielders Kieran Ireland and Phil Mendonca also went close.
In the 29th minute, Welton almost took the lead with a clever shot, but Jason Quick cleared the danger.
Wellington thought they had broken the deadlock in the 33rd minute, only for their goal to be ruled out for offside.
As the first half drew to a close, both teams continued to create chances.
Nathan Byrne headed over from a corner, and Welton hit the post for a second time just before the break.
The second half saw Wellington launch repeated attacks, but they were unable to find a breakthrough.
Welton's keeper, Mackenzie Welsh, made a series of sharp saves to keep the score level.
Wellington also had appeals for a penalty turned down after a challenge on substitute Matt Crawley with five minutes remaining.
Just as it seemed Wellington would have to settle for a point, the winner came in the 88th minute.
Sam Gleeson's cross from the left found Pashen at the far post, and he made no mistake, firing an unstoppable shot past Welsh.
Wellington have now kept four consecutive clean sheets and recorded more wins than in the entirety of last season.
The team, under the guidance of coach Matt Hesford in the absence of manager Richard Cherry, will be looking to maintain their momentum.
They are set to play Ilfracombe Town next at the Playing Field on Wednesday night, followed by a local derby at home to Bridgwater United on Saturday.
Wellington's lineup included Jake Viney, Mark Cornish, Tom Stone, Jason Quick, Sam Gleeson, Kieran Ireland, Sam Towler, Josh Lukins, Nathan Byrne, Phil Mendonca, and Jake Quick.
Substitutes Sam Pashen, Matt Crawley, and William Pinnick were all used during the match.
