Minehead Ladies' hockey team were defeated 4-1 away to Tiverton White Eagles in a difficult encounter.
The match saw Minehead miss crucial opportunities that could have changed the game's outcome.
Minehead made an impressive start, scoring an early goal when Morgan skillfully outplayed Tiverton's goalkeeper after breaking through their defence.
However, despite some attacking chances, Tiverton retaliated, scoring a field goal followed by a well-executed short corner.
After the break, the Minehead team intensified their efforts in search of an equaliser, creating multiple chances.
Unfortunately, the Tiverton goalkeeper was on form, making vital saves that kept Minehead at bay.
Tiverton White Eagles capitalised on Minehead's missed chances, netting two more goals in the second half, both from open play.
Despite the disappointing scoreline, Minehead Ladies' captain Jess Koppa commended her team's resolve and effort throughout the match, played in challenging rainy conditions.
The team will look to bounce back in their next fixture at home.
