A Taunton swimmer recently competed in the annual British Down Syndrome swimming championships and came home with gold.
Caroline Faithful, who is a member of Taunton Deane Swimming Club, took part in the championships in Crawley.
She currently holds three T21 records in the championships, in the 800-metre freestyle, the 1500-metre freestyle and the 200-metre backstroke.

At this year’s championships, she won gold medals in the 1,500-metre and 800-metre freestyle and silver medals in the 400-metre freestyle and 200-metre backstroke.
Caroline also won two gold and one silver age group medals.
Back in 2022, Caroline won three silver medals and a bronze at the Down Syndrome World Swimming Championships held in Portugal.
