Taunton Town make their return to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium this weekend as they welcome Surrey side Chertsey Town.
When the Peacocks take to the field on Saturday in this Southern League Premier South match on Saturday, it will have been four weeks since they last played a competitive game at home, when they drew 1-1 with Bracknell Town.

Since then, they have won at Walton & Hersham, lost to Wimborne away and the weather meant they were unable to play their Somerset Cup match against Wells City away.

Chertsey Town, who won the FA Vase in 2019, come into the game on the back of a couple of tough defeats to Merthyr Town and Gosport Borough but they did beat Vanarama National League South side Bath City in the FA Trophy.
Speaking to the club’s media after Taunton’s game against Dorchester Town, manager Richard Luffman said: “It’s been ages since we’ve been up there (at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium) in a competitive fixture.
“We’ll give Chertsey all the respect they deserve…you don’t go to Bath City and win and get to the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy if you are not a good side.”
