Minehead Ladies secured a decisive victory against North Devon 2 in their last league match before the Christmas break.
The hosts took their time to adapt to a new formation, but managed to keep North Devon confined to their half.
Once settled, Minehead's players began to demonstrate their skill, leading to Fenella Buller finding herself unmarked in the D and successfully scoring past the visitors' goalkeeper.
After a half-time strategy discussion, the Minehead team resumed the second half with renewed determination.
A swift sequence of passes from the midfield found Zoey Cape in the D, leading to her first goal of the match.
North Devon struggled to mount any significant counter-attacks, thanks to Minehead's solid defence.
Another quick passing move from Minehead resulted in the ball being deflected high in the D, where Hannah Sparks volleyed it into the top of the net, which could very much win 'Goal of the Season'.
Kate Lancaster then crossed the ball to Cape on the penalty spot for her second goal shortly after.
Cape completed her hat-trick within a minute.
Despite a rare break from North Devon resulting in a consolation goal, Minehead continued to dominate.
With less than five minutes remaining, another cross from Lancaster found Amy Tisshaw on the penalty spot, who successfully scored, finalising the match at 6-1 in favour of the hosts.
This convincing performance propelled Minehead up to sixth position in the league table as they head into the Christmas break.
Kate Lancaster was named the Techniquip Player of the Match for her impressive performance.
