Taunton Town advanced in the Somerset County Cup on Tuesday (December 3) after being taken to penalties by Wells City.
The Peacocks, who won this competition last season, travelled to Wells for a match that had been re-arranged due to effects of Storm Bert a couple weeks ago.
Manager Richard Luffman made seven changes from the side that lost to Chertsey in the Southern League Premier South on Saturday (November 30) with Lloyd Irish, Matthew Spiller, Liam Harding, Jay Malshanskyj, Jake Hodgson, Jack Matthews and Harris Feltham all coming into the starting XI.
With Wells City playing their league football in step 6 in the Western League Division One, it was no surprise that Taunton Town started the game stronger.

However, it was Wells who took the lead on 29 minutes.
The host were then reduced to ten men shortly before half time as Adam Wright was sent off.
The second half was all about attack versus defence as Taunton Town had several chances to equalise but it wasn’t until stoppage time that Steve Murray – who came on as a substitute in the second half – scored the equaliser.
The game went straight to penalties which saw Taunton triumph 4-3.
The Peacocks will face either Weston-super-Mare or Yeovil Town in the next round.
