BOTH Minehead teams played at home in the Somerset County Bowling League last Saturday.

The 'A' team's opponents Bridgwater 'A' found a fast green to their liking and ran out winners by 51 shots to 63 with Minehead only managing 2 points.

A very different story with the 'B' team who continued their unbeaten run when they outclassed Ilminster 'C' by 98 shots to 29 giving them maximum 12 points.

A very close match saw Minehead 'A' lose by 1 shot away to North Petherton 'A' in the West Somerset Bowling League scoring 52-53 whilst the 'B' team came up with another victory away to Williton winning by 47 shots to 39.

Minehead sent six rinks to Ilfracombe in a mixed triples match and after a close encounter lost by just two shots 89-91.
