SOMERSET favourite Keith Parsons will be missing from the cricket scene for at least the next month after breaking the little finger of his left hand whilst batting last weekend.
The 33-year-old all- rounder was hit on the hand while trying to fend off a rising ball from Ian Hunter and rushed straight to hospital where his injury was diagnosed.
Parsons' injury could not have come at a worse time for Somerset and is the latest which has beset the club in recent weeks one they could well do without given the new limited over Pro40 competition gets underway next Wednesday when they entertain Kent in a day/night match which starts at 4.40pm.
Director of cricket Brian Rose said: "We have three people out now two with broken fingers and one with a broken thumb as well as Ian Blackwell, who is such a major force in one-day cricket."
