TAUNTON are stepping up their search for a player-coach after talks with their most promising candidate stalled.
The club have now advertised the position in the regional press in a bid to find a replacement for Kevin Powderly.
"We thought we had the right person but, for one reason and another, things have cooled," said club spokesman Jack Matthews. "We don't want to make any rash decisions. It's got to be the right person."
