SOMERSET new boy Abdur Rehman returned outstanding figures of 6-16 from eight overs to set up a comfortable home win against Nottinghamshire at the County Ground this afternoon.

The Pakistani left-arm spinner, who opened the bowling, was in brilliant form.

The Cidermen restricted Notts to 206-9 from their 40 overs and then raced to their target with more than ten overs to spare.

And to give Somerset extra satisfaction Marcus Trescothick batted his way back to form with 87 not out off 69 balls.

Next highest scorer was Craig Kieswetter who hit 44 of their first wicket stand of 57 in just five overs.
