A GOOD all-round performance by Staplegrove saw them beat promotion rivals Wembdon by a comfortable 66 runs on Saturday in the Somerset Division of the WEPL.
Staplegrove opened and amassed 206-9 from their 50 overs with Dan Sizer top scoring with 61, while Gary Bishop hit 52 and Taurai Mazurabani chipped-in with 43.
Mazurabani then immediately got cracking with the ball in the Wembdon reply and picked-up a couple of quick wickets and Wembdon crumbled to 140 all out in the 36th over.
Thomas Pantlin and Jason Brock claimed two wickets apiece, while Mazurabani closed with 3-25.
Staplegrove are away at Winscombe on Saturday.
