WILLITON Bowling Club men entertained Minehead A in a West Somerset League match recently and lost by 52 shots to 25 and as they only managed to draw on one of the three rinks the home side only picked up one point of the available 12.

Details: T. Beardon, B. Gillis and D. Donald lost 16-15; H. Husband, C. Thorne and Derek Sully drew 13-13; B. Porter, R. Amery and A. Sully lost 23-17.

The men had a better result two days later in a County League fixture against Taunton Deane B when they won two of the three rinks and 10 points because of their overall win of 75-47.

Details: B. Porter, T. Beardon, B. Gillis and D. Donald won 31-11; M. Grogan, E. Ferris, R. Mitchell and Derek Sully won 22-11; H. Husband, C. Thorne, R. Amery and A. Sully lost 22-25.

On Sunday Williton played South Molton at home in a four rink mixed triples and drew 58-58 with the rinks shared.
