TAUNTON Town will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins tomorrow when they take on Cinderford Town at Wordsworth Drive in the Evo-Stik Division One South and West League.

The Peacocks will be looking to carry on the good work they made on Tuesday night when they beat Paulton Rovers 3-2 in a FA Cup Preliminary Round replay.

Having done well to scramble a draw in the first match, Taunton grabbed their second chance coming back from the dead in the pulsating replay with Paulton - grabbing a last-gasp winner.

After an early scare when Kyle Phillips was forced to get down well to save from Rodney Marsh, Paulton Rovers took early command. Marcus Mapstone pounced on a spill by Taunton keeper Connor Sidley-Adams after four minutes. Then James Vincent finished a clinical passing move to bag the second before the replay was even 20 minutes old.

Taunton huffed and puffed, and Marsh and Rob Norrish saw efforts pass well over the bar. But they were handed a life-line a minute before the interval. Stuart Tovey crudely chopped down Craig Herrod, and Simon Ingram tucked the resultant penalty low to Phillips's right.

Re-invigorated, Town made a barnstorming start to the second half. Ingram almost netted with a curling shot that Phillips plucked from under his cross bar. The captain then got lucky with his second of the night after 64 minutes to level the scores — a heavily deflected effort from James Blake's pass that completely wrong-footed the keeper.

Herrod appeared to have squandered the chance to dramatically snatch the tie six minutes from time when he skied the ball over the bar after being set up by Marsh. However, just 30 seconds later the ex-Wellington winger got behind the Paulton defence to slide home a sensational winner.
