TAUNTON 1sts close their 2012 season tomorrow with a home match against Old Bristolians in the Bristol and Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League.

Their game with Bedminster 1sts last weekend was reduced to 32 overs because of the weather and Bedminster ran out comfortable winners.

Opener Garreth Elphick carried his bat for an undefeated 87 for Bedminster in their total of 200-1. Taunton were left stranded on 147-9 from their 32 overs with number eight Harry Popplewell top scoring with 44.

Taunton 2nds lost by ten wickets in their match with Glastonbury 2nds in the Premier Two 2nd XI competition. Taunton were all out for 110 in the 27th over with Hayden Tyler top scoring with 35. Glastonbury needed just 16 overs to reach the target.

Taunton 1sts are home to Old Bristolians this weekend, while the 2nds travel to Ilminster 2nds.
