Taunton Titans’ managing director Chris Marsh has told fans the club is embarking on an exciting challenge in the 2012-13 campaign.
“Running a competitive semi-pro rugby team is a vastly different proposition to rugby of the past,” he said in a statement to supporters.
“The days of supporters simply turning up to watch their 1st XV play at no cost are over.
“Titans have budgeted carefully to meet the needs of the semi-professional era, and are building our income streams to sustain and grow a competitive team for Taunton.”
“We aim to give great value for money and reward loyal supporters. I’m pleased to extend our exciting season ticket package to include concessions for full-time students and senior citizens.
“We trust sponsors and supporters will get behind the team as we work to move Titans into a new era of competitive rugby for Taunton.
“The message to Titans supporters is that we’re working hard at all levels in the club to build a competitive and successful team of which we can all be proud.”
