TAUNTON Town hope to get their season back on track when they visit Cirencester Town in the Evo-Stik League tomorrow (October 20), kick-off 3pm.

And Robinson is well aware that his side need to get rid of the inconsistency which has led to a mixed bag of results so far this season, including a 2-0 defeat by North Leigh at last weekend.

He said: “Last Saturday was probably the first time this year that we haven’t quite clicked on the ball and threatened too much going forward.

“That said, Blakey hit the bar at a crucial time and goals change games. “Credit should also be given to North Leigh who were a decent side and defended very well.

“For reasons beyond my control, there will have to be more changes which will deplete the team on Saturday – this is a real hindrance right now but I think that from next week all of these unavailabilities should be pretty much out of the way, finally allowing us to play a settled side.

“Hopefully we might also have another striker signed in time for the weekend to freshen things up”.

Defender Owen Irish definitely misses the trip to Cirencester as he serves the last game of his three match suspension while Rodney Marsh and Dave Hambly are both unavailable and Gary Saunders is a doubt with an injury.

The fixture has been brought forward from next March as both clubs originally faced a blank weekend as their scheduled opponents are still involved in the FA Cup.

The Gloucestershire side have made a respectable start to the campaign and are sitting seventh in the table.
