STAPLEGROVE Ladies have now gone 13 games without defeat following their 3-0 success at Ilminster Reserves. The home side set themselves up not to be beaten with a 5-4-1 formation and worked hard to keep the Grove out.
And Ilminster succeeded for a large proportion of the first period, frustrating the Grove strikers until Vicky Perkins managed to break the deadlock on 35 minutes.
Natasha Hole was rewarded for her hard work and hassling of the Ilminster back line with a goal early in the second period and Mags Lewko sealed the three points with a good finish.
This Sunday Staplegrove should face a good test when they take on Wells City who have won all five of their League games this season.
The match is being played at Manor Road, Staplegrove at 2pm and spectators are welcome.
