Wellington Under-14s stretched their unbeaten run to six this season with this a well-fought 45-10 victory at Cullompton.
The scoreline suggests a romp but this was by no means the case, with a strong Cully pack putting Welly under a lot of early pressure.
However, the typically slick Wellington three-quarters fashioned some lovely rugby to go into half time with a 21-0 lead.
After the break Cullompton again put their visitors under plenty of pressure and scored a well-worked try but this only served to galvanise Wellington, who eventually ran in seven tries, only two of which went unconverted.
Yet again hard work from the forwards paved the way for the threes to score through Jake Barker, Jack Churchill and Tom Sheppard although the forwards were at last allowed a look-in through an aggressive try scored by the tireless Ollie Sells.
