The match concluded in just over half-an-hour on day four at Emirates Old Trafford, with Somerset being dismissed for 224.
Luke Wells and Anderson Phillip were instrumental in the victory, taking four and three wickets respectively.

The day began with Somerset losing a wicket to the first ball, when Lewis Gregory was bowled for a golden duck by Luke Wells’ googly.
Lancashire's Anderson Phillip then trapped Craig Overton leg before wicket for four.
Brett Randell, after hitting Wells for two fours, was bowled for nine.
The game concluded when James Rew was bowled by Phillip for 31.
Collectors of statistical oddities may note that this match was the first in the history of the County Championship where 21 wickets fell on the first day, and the game lasted until the fourth morning without any weather interruptions.
